BCT15: Programming Cable - Serial to USB

If I purchase a serial to USB adapter such as:

will it allow me to use the stock BCT15 serial programming cable in a USB port?

It should - I use (have used) something similar for a BCD396T.

Yes. You will also need a Null Modem adapter since the DB-15 port doubles as a GPS port.
A Null Modem adapter rolls the RX & TX signals.

That's the back 9-pin RS-232 port. He was talking about the front port that uses a Uniden cable.

Yes. I use one to program & control my BCT15X from the front port and it works fine.
