It should run the scanner ok...
But you have to watch for interference to the scanner from the high frequency switching of the buck converter...
Try it and see... It won't hurt the scanner...

I run my SDS100 off of this before without a problem...

Plus one for almost anything Drok. I've been using them for numerous buck/boost solutions for years and have been very pleased.

I've been using this for two years placed between roof and lining to power a dash cam and have worked in both freezing temperature as well as summer heat. I opened it up and soldered a resistor over another one to make it turn off at a higher 12.5 volt so it doesn't drain the battery too much if a forget to turn the camera off and make the car impossible to start with a battery that are almost dead.

I haven't noticed any more interference to scanner monitoring than what already comes from my cars own electronics.
