Programming motorola type 2 sys into xts

Hi folks, Been trying to program a motorola type 2 system into my XTS, (yes it has the correct features), it works, only problem is it does not let me enter 4 and 5 digit Talkgroups. which is what is used in my area.


anyone have ideas?

In the Trunking Personality, you define each talkgroup using its HEX value. 1-FFFE (1-65534) is the valid range.

I am aware, even when I enter it using the HEX value, the tiny box still turns red and says invalid.

No, it lets me enter a 3 digit number / hexcode very well. But it won't let me go above 3

if the typeii TG ends in 0, you dont put the 0 in the talkgroup field
if the tg is 8190 HEX in RR db, its 819 in Astro25 CPS
