SDS100/SDS200: Programming p25 digital

I’m trying to program westchester county police on my sds100 manually but doesn’t seem to pick up any signal. Does it have to be programmed via computer? I know it went to digital and the frenquency is the same but the tone is now 154 NAC. Do I need a TGID number?

It is much easier just using the sentinel software. You can program it manually. You will need the TGID unless you set it to "search"

The SDS100 can stop on talk groups that are not programmed when in ID Search mode, versus ID Scan mode.
Pressing the System soft key will hold on the system. Press the Function button, then E/Yes to toggle between search and scan.

If you had it programmed as analog, you need to change the audio option to digital P25 and enter the NAC.

Westchester county police is shown in the database as a Conventional P25 frequency. As mc48 described, this is programmed as a conventional channel with digital audio type. This is not a trunked system - and there are no TGIDs.

fyi.. u can program it as trunked and load it with TGID 1 which allows you to get radio ids and then tag them
