Programming SDS200 for a friend

Using Sentinel, can I create a second SDS200 Profile for a friend, which would be similar but would be adding channels I don't listen to on my original profile?

You can create a second profile but you would have to make the settings for him on it and remember anything in the “favorites” list on yours will be on his unless you change the download to no on the ones he won’t want.
might be easier to download a second instance of sentinel to another folder and use that as his sentinel so you don’t get them mixed up

DO NOT try to run multiple instances of Sentinel. There is zero benefit to doing so, and several drawbacks, including having to update the database separately for each instance.

Make separate favorite lists for you and your friend. Make a copy of your profile for your friend, and adjust the download and monitor flags on the favorite lists in each profile accordingly. You can accomplish anything you need to do with a single instance of Sentinel and sepearate profiles for each radio.

Will you please elaborate on how you do separate favorite lists? I tried to do this by changing the Sentinel folder and saving the changed lists there. However, when I changed the folder back to the original one I still had the changed favorites lists. I had to upload from my radio to restore the original lists.

There will be one list of "favorites lists" and with the separate profiles you can pick which get downloaded and monitored on each scanner. To say that a different way, all favorites lists will be available to send to either, both or neither scanner based on what you do in the profiles.
