WS1065: Programming software

Just bought a new Whistler 1065. I understand as a premium member to this site I should be able to get the software to download the database for my area. But when I go to the software page and try to download the software, I get some kind of download that appears to be commercial advertising. Any help appreciated. Guess I can put email address here? adinserter@hotmail.com

Did I get something wrong? I thought in my manual for the radio it said I could download the entire database for my area into the radio from Radio Reference.com. What am I missing?

you get access to the downloadable data base. you still need a 3rd party software to program the scanner. try butel arc500 very easy to use

Separate software is needed to access the database with your premium subscription. There are three options available (referenced in the link above).

PSREdit500 from me (PSREdit - Configuration Editors for Whistler, GRE, and Radio Shack scanners)

All have a free trial period, so try them and go with the one that makes the most sense for you.

Yes. As I recall the initial download/free trial is good for 30-days.
