WS1040: programming ws1040

Programmed my WS1040 off of RadioReference site using there info my local pd will not come in. Used PSREdit500 to download from computer to radio will not pick up pd. Any help would be appreciated

I don't have PSREdit500. I use Butel ARC500 Basic for programming my Radio Shack Pro-197. Here is an ARC500 file for your WS1040. Download and install ARC500 for the free trial period. You will be able to use the attached file to program your WS1040. Once the scanner is programmed, you will be able to download from the scanner into PSREdit500 and save the file in that format. In the meantime, take a look at ARC500 and see what you think about it. Save the attached zipped file to your computer and extract. Open the extracted file with ARC500 and, under the Scanner tab, Upload to Scanner. Scan list 1 will scan the Austin site in Mower County on the ARMER trunked system. Scan list 2 will scan the Elkton site. You will be able to select either or both sites. Scan list 3 contains the public safety conventional frequencies. Scan list 4 contains the public works conventional frequencies. Scan lists as follows:

1. ARMER Austin (Mower Co Trunked - Austin site)
2. ARMER Elkton (Mower Co Trunked - Elkton site)
3. Mower PS Conv (Mower Co Public Safety Conventional)

Thanks for that info. I am not familiar with PSREdit500 and didn't know that option was available. Does it say Import ARC500 or GR5 file? That would be very useful helping others with PSREdit500.

P25 Auto automatically loads the band plan off of the control channel. You don't need to worry about trunking tables.

East Liverpool Site Details (Ohio MARCS-IP: Multi-Agency Radio Communications)

I have factory antenna and a 800 Mgz antenna, any guess which would work best?

The East Palestine and Lisbon sites are much closer to the city of Columbiana than the East Liverpool site. Those 2 sites are about 10 miles away compared to 25 miles for East Liverpool. You may not receive the East Liverpool site at all.

Using the 800 Mgz antenna I picked up TX a little while ago.
They keep TX short
