I was checking if anyone is having problems with proscan .I was having a problem back in July with the sds200 ,were proscan would change certain favorites - to a different site and system then what it was supposed to be in sentinal.
As with the previous posters, I have not had any problem like what you are describing. I've used it since not too long it was released, and the only 'problems' I've had were usually self=inflicted, such as saving a newly edited Favorites to the wrong folder on my PC.
You are not a Premium Subscriber, so how did you create the list you are having a problem with? Did you append a system in Sentinel, then edited it in ProScan? 'Import from the main database' in ProScan (which is very similar to appending from the main database)? Or, manually create a system in ProScan? Did you verify that you saved your newly created (or edited) system to the right location, the same one that Sentinel uses? Did you load your edited system from within ProScan, or sent it to the scanner via Sentinel?
And which system are you trying to set up? Per your profile location, you are in Sarasota County in Florida, so I presume that you were trying to set up
this system.
I hade made a bug report and describe in detail what was happening ,but when sending a email sunday to Bob about asking for a temp key to check if I still have this problem. He said that this has not had a problem for quit some time and dom me to do a test ,but there's not a way to test this again after the 30 days trial is over I would have to remove win 11 from my pc ,and then reinstall it to use proscan again. Just wondering before I throw out 50.00 for proscan if anyone is having this and or any major problems.
There is no way for ProScan to change an edited system. It's likely that either the edit was problematic, or your file was saved to a different location than what Sentinel uses.
Any suggestions we try to give you are not going to be doable, since you were using the software via the free trial period, which has now expired. You could revert to using Sentinel, and create, or make corrections there, then send the system to your scanner. Another option would be to try
ARC536, which also has a free trial period, but that would only let you edit a Favorites list in the same file structure as Sentinel uses, not a file saved in ProScan's format. However, that's only a limited time work around. To continue using ARC536 after it's trial period, you would have to purchase it.
ARC536 is either about $40 for the basic version, or about $70 for the Pro version. If you wanted to be able to use virtual control, among other things that are in the Pro version vs. Basic, you would have to spend the $70.
ProScan is $50, which is a one-time charge. Updates to the software, when released, are at no additional cost to you. ProScan supports a large number of scanners. Besides the SDS series, ProScan supports the x36HP scanners, the P2 (325P2 & 996P2), plus a number of other Uniden scanners, including some that were discontinued a couple of decades ago. ARC536 only supports the SDS & x36HP models. If you want to continue to use software other than Sentinel, you'll have to go ahead and purchase ProScan or ARC536. That choice is yours. While not "free". the most effective way to get back on the right track would be to buy the software, as well as become a Premium Subscriber. You can upgrade to Premium for as little as $15 for six months. That would let you import the systems you want from the main database, and then edit it to exactly what you want to monitor.
If your file is in Sentinel, you could
export it into an *.hpe file, then zip it into a compressed file that can be attached to a post here in the forums. Then one of us here in the forums could take a look and perhaps see something, but again, unless you purchase ProScan, any corrections will have to be made via Sentinel.
