While I contend that connecting your server via WiFi should work fine (I do it with many different servers) IF the WiFi is properly configured and not dropping out for power management / usb factors... have you tried connecting the server directly to your network with an Ethernet cable? If you do that and the Proscan audio / connection streaming issue goes away... then you know it is something to do with your WiFi ... or the available CPU load / horsepower... and not Proscan.
Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately, this laptop does not have a wired Ethernet port. It is just 2 years old and as laptops get thinner, they are removing those ports.
I don't blame Proscan. I know it's a laptop or network problem. And I apologize for asking for some buffering. Proscan is fine and I in no way regret purchasing it.

I'm just going to give up on this project for now. The goal was to have it upstairs connected to an antenna and be able to monitor in the basement as I work. This is really not imperative. I'll enjoy my SDS100 in person for now :)

Just a thought, probably a dumb one but here goes...

I didn't see you mention, have you trying the web server option? Does the audio have problems there?

If the web server acts as expected you can monitor and control from that.

I'm not smart enough to know if just because one way doesn't work that means the other way won't work either.

Good luck figuring this out.

The Web Server is playing without dropouts in Firefox. Sounds great!
And entering a password and then logging in as Super User, I have full control!
Thank you!!

Dropouts listening to just your server or others online?
I only get the dropouts when using my server via "Remote Scanner Over IP". Other servers online play fine.
But now, using the "Web Server" function instead, I have no dropouts and full control when logged in as Super User.
The difference seems to be that there is a second or so of buffering delay on the Web Server. But that's fine for my use.

Is the 192.168.68.60:27457 you inside ip address or is that your outside ip address?

192.168.x..x is usually the routers inside address, I could never get RSOIP to work with that range. But then I think I never tried port forwarding the inside address.

You might try it with the outside address of the computer hooked to the scanner as one would normally setup ProScan RSOIP and see if that clears up the audio.

I'm using a Movo Line to Mic level attenuator cable from the headphone jack of the SDS100 to the Mic input of a little Sabrent USB dongle into the laptop.

The attenuator cable knocked out most of the noise but there was still some there.
So I ordered that Ground Loop Noise Isolator. It came today and knocked out the rest of the noise. Thanks!
