I would like to share a problem I encountered, and hopefully spare someone the same ordeal. I use ProScan with an SDS200. Yesterday I lost the ability to connect through my web browser from both inside and outside my home network. I also lost audio through my computer speakers. Everything about ProScan appeared normal on screen, although silent. Both Audio Configuration and Data Configuration were checked, found to be in good order, and reconnected. Port forwarding was re-worked on both my AT&T router and my Deco mesh router, although both had appeared to be in good order. Still, no audio and no browser connection. After literally hours of intermittent tinkering, I discovered that Norton 360 Premium has recently added a feature that will allow the program, when VPN is not connected, to automatically limit internet connection when it deems the internet connection unsecure. I am by no means network proficient, so I’m not sure why it determined my home connection to be unsecure. I suspect that it relates to my use of the mesh routers with my AT&T router. Norton’s VPN settings allow this feature to be turned off. Once I switched it off, ProScan resumed perfectly normal operation, with audio and browser connections restored.

I have found the VPNs of the various anti-virus programs to be horrible and do not recommend them to anyone. I use SurfShark when I need a VPN and it works great with little or no interference with 99% of my programs I use. Plus has unlimited connections.
