Couldn't find anything in the list suitable for marine frequencies.
Is there a way to edit a custom one ?

What list are you looking in and what scanner do you have?

You should be able to add these to your scanner.

You can’t create your own values for service types, however Uniden provides custom 1 thru 8 (I think?) for you to use. And no, you can’t put a custom description on one of these to read marine.

I'm creating a program for my USDS100.
I realize I am in NZ & the software is written mainly for US use.
But I found it a bit odd there wasn't a service type for marine or maritime frequencies.
Maybe in in the next update?

I'm programming this manually, the RR database isn't much use in NZ.
I use it to get the basic layout & then edit using the Wiki, it's more up to date for what I need.

No. The scanners doesn't have that type of functionality.

{rewritten}
Use Custom 2 or (Custom 1 to Custom 8) for the Marine channels. That's what they are there for.

The Service Types are from RadioReference. RadioReference calls them "Service Tags" It's probably next to impossible for RadioReference to create a new tag as that would cause havoc for all the manufactures that pay for the RRDB. They all will have to update the firmware and software on all their scanners that uses Service Types. I believe Uniden added Custom 1 to Custom 8, Racing Officials, and Racing Teams. And we really don't know the status at Uniden, if they are currently working on firmware.
