the past few Mornings and evenings I'm hearing an EDACS CC on 854.1875. there are two Licenses to Prosper. 854.1875 & 854.1625 Its not incredibly strong and cuts in and out an aweful lot. I've heard Prosper tried to build or is building a EDACS Scat system, Be nice to get some West Side Collin Co. support on this and see if its really in operation or is Morning time skip.

I have both frequencies plugged into the 898T and trunking EDACS Scat mode. but I have yet to get a hit, then again, I have no clue what LCN order a two channel Scat system would use.

thanks.

Max,

Two channel SCAT is an oxy-moron. SCAT = Single Channel Autonomous Trunk; by definition, this is a single channel set up. Check out the Wiki for EDACS SCAT. I tried that freq several times in the past two days with no joy from Allen. SCAT might work for Prosper, but with Collin County being pretty much a Motorola county, I think Prosper will either use their new 800 mhz channels in a simple conventional or P25 repeater mode. That freq has several new assignments in Central and North Texas, so you may be hearing some other user.

That's prolly the case, the Skip has been astonishing the last few mornings so the CC I am hearing is prolly someone else.

Heh, I didn't even think about What SCAT really is when I posted that, it truely is a Single (ONE) channel trunk. My Bad.

Thanks for the reply Russell.

Max I've been monitoring both of those Prosper channels since the licenses came out several months ago from my work location in McKinney. I've never heard any traffic.
