OkSite 1 "Main Simulcast" references Bordentown and Moorestown in Burlington County as site locations. If you click on it, you'll see a map with site locations pinned, including the above area of interest.
do you think the system would work for me in Cherry Hill?System Notes just prior to the Site areas listed would cover the transmitter locations for the "896 system" as PSE&G calls it. I personally verified 100% of all the information listed in the database regarding the sites and talkgroups. There are some talkgroups in the Generation Systems (GSOC) division, but I have no connections as to verifying them at this time, hence why they are not listed and in the database.
OkI seem to recall a thread a few years ago that basically said PSEG doesn't really use their radio system very much. You may not hear much activity.
The reason I was asking is because the Pseg are working on my street and they have portable radios I saw one of them have one on the belt buckle.
OkThe UHF portable radios that the technicians carry on their belt loop are listed here: NJ Utilities (New Jersey) Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference and are tied into the "896 system" (900 MHz TRS) via the DVRS (Digital Vehicular Repeater System). You may want to program in some of those conventional UHF frequencies into your scanner, but take note that you will only hear one side of the conversation on them since they are only putting out 4 watts of transmit power.
OkNext time you see them using radios on their belts, try and close-call them on the scanner. I know PSEG has hundreds of other conventional frequencies assigned by the FCC aside from their Trunked system in the lower bands.
