Coverage from the I-95 Scudders Falls bridge south to the Philly line would be PSP Trevose on Channel A (155.580/154.950). As of a couple weeks ago, they were still VHF.

Coverage through the City of Philadelphia down to the airport is PSP Philly, Channel B...definitely still on VHF.

From the airport south to the Delaware state line is PSP Media, Channel C, also still on VHF.

Also worth mentioning, the local PD's in Bucks county respond to calls on I-95 like MVA's, vehicle fires, and the like.

Yeah, some of the Delco PD's will respond to their area, too, when they have manpower available.

I would imagine PPD will do the same, too.

Most Del Co. Departments will respond and handle incidents on 95 but do not patrol and PSP Media has primary jurisdiction.

PPD Expressway Patrol Cars X26-28 are still assighned to 95. Although there more like rovers being you can hear them backing the Route 1/Blvd. X cars or Center City Traffic Units. They respond to incidents and provide assistance intill PSP arrives then they resume.

This is actually partially true. If you call Bucks 911 to report an incident on I-95, they will first inquire if fire or paramedic services are needed, and will 'patch' the call to PSP Trevose (and they will generally remain on the line to listen). PSP Trevose will then dispatch their patrol cars.

If there is not a need for fire or ems, there will not be any routine notification to any Bucks local police departments.

However, if fire or ems is requested, the standard protocol in Bucks is for the local police units to be advised that fire or ems is responding to a report of x on I-95. At times, if the local department has a unit available, they will head up onto I-95.

So for a crash or fire, the local police will be advised and might respond, but for a disabled, a DUI, a reckless driver, etc., on I-95, they are not advised.

Same protocol in York County. The full length of the interchange ramp is considered PSP responsibility. When a vehicle accident occuring on an intersecting road and a ramp is dispatched to a municipal department the responding officer's question to dispatch is "did this occur on or off the ramp".
