I don't think this will do any good since I don't have my S/N for the radio but someone broke in my apartment and stole my scanners all but 3 they left.
Thank God for renters insurance they gave me the money to buy another one.
I have contacted the local Law Enforcemen and the Detective is going to get in touch with the insurance company for the S/N and I will be posting it as well soon. So far they took
My PSR-500 / PRO97 X2 / PRO 164 Just 1 / but soon as I get the S/N I will let everyone know cause I know they will try to sell them when the stuiped thief learns that he can not figure out how to use them
The area that they was stolen from was Kershaw county South Carolina 29078 so just beware when buying one from a outside buyer Thanks Jason

Also when buying one and you turn it on it should say jason in the display of the scanners

Thats great, hard to miss. I'll keep checking ebay for someone trying to sell one from your area and whoever mentions Jason on the display

I have my phone number, callsign and indicate I will offer a reward if my scanners are stolen.

Is that all they took is there anything else we can watch for any marks or anything else to help ID the scanners and other items

Well to be honest with you the insurance seems to think I will not ever get them back or find them unless they are in a pawn shop so if I will not get into any trouble for doing it and you find them you can have them if you buy them , but the thing is I need to know who it was that sold it to you but they may want the scanner back and if they do and I can work somthing out with the insurance I will give it to you as a reward or give you your money you bought it for or try to do both. Hopefully I can get the insurance to let you have the radio for reward to prosecute who sold it to you or any leads that will lead to the arest of the burgular who took them from me. But how ever I will give you your money back for the purchase or what ever I can do to get it back I will give the radio for reward if I can get the insurance to let me have it

Yes on the pro164 it will say multitrunking radio pro97 jason on both radio's.
The reason why it says pro97 is because brian a member on here helped me out with a file for win97 and he worked it up for Me and thats what I programed in it last.

The psr-500 will have just my name in it jason.

Well all the pro 97 and pro 164's all say the same thing as mentioned aboved they all have the same file in it but it is set up with different frequency's one pro 97 and one of the pro164 has military air frequecy's in them the rest is fire ems police for kershaw county SC

THE PSR-500 has my initals JMT carved in the batter part in the left corner were you place the battery's I did this cause I never planed on ever selling it.

I really hope this helps untill I get the S/N for everyone

I started looking there a month ago just for giggles, lots of suspicious items being sold on there and if I were to sell stolen goods, that's where I'd do it.

I have never heard of that sight but how ever i will keep a eye out for it though.
I have been looking on ebay everyday but nothing so far.
I got a company coming tomorrow to install a couple of camera's and install a alarm system cause this is twice I have been broke into. I really hope I find out who did this but one thing is forsure is I got another one coming but the thing is that doesn't catch who did it.

Check the packaging box

I just checked the box that my PSR-600 came in and the serial number is on one of the end flaps of the box. Might check to see if you still have your box.

One way to protect your items is have a couple big dogs and beware of dog signs. When they get treated for dog bites they get busted..... works great too. I have two dogs inside and two out back guarding the garage, 24/7 security, no alarm charges and the neighbors even keep an eye out if they hear the dogs bark as they only bark if someones out there who shouldn't be (anyone but me).

Well I would get me a good gard dog but I live in a apartment complex and we can't have big dog's just ankle bitters. Would be funny to see one get treated and busted for getting bit by a poodle:D
