I would advise anyone that has a scanner that you can program the startup lines the way you want to enter your name and zip code or TX Number. Always keep a list of serial numbers in a couple of safe places preferably one in someone else s house or a safety deposit box...............Hoser

I wrote the S/N's for my scanners in their respective owner's manuals (except for the GRE-I don't know where to put that one). I keep all of the manuals separate in an military-surplus ammo box in my closet.

carving your initials in it was smart. Anybody selling would have to mention that and may not get good money for it

Please consider carving your state driver's license number instead of, or in addition to, your initials. A LE Officer who sees a set of initials has no idea who the unit belongs to. If he or she sees the DL# and state abbreviation, it would take about 15 seconds to determine the owner.

GOOD NEWS !!!!! The PSR-500 has been found in a pawn shop in Columbia SC
A SLED Agent who owns a pawn shop there said he ran it through NCIC when the person who pawned it was acting funny they even got the guy who had it. now if I can just find my two pro 97 and one pro 164 I will be back in buisness again :) now I am just wondering what my insurance company is going to do since they already bought me another one wonder if they will be kind to let me have it as well :D :D

Get yourself a Dremel with a fine engraving bit. Dremel your DL# underneath the clip, obviously you have to take the clip off first! To the same to your bike, your dog, your wife, etc.
