I "modded' my lil case with a 3/8" felt pad over the snap on the back of the scanner case. I have one of these cases for my pro97 and the snap on the back wore a round scratch on the back of the scanner. The felt pad is like one you would find on the bottom of a lamp, or small furniture item, I got mine at Menards, I would guess Home Depot might have them as well.

Finally got mine - three weeks after ordering, due to a bonehead in my local post office who can't tell the difference between the "deliver to" and "from" addresses - and want to give a BIG thumbs up to David and Mary Anne at LilKase for their great service, support, and workmanship.
I'm going to follow the "felt-pad over the snap" suggestion and *may* punch additional holes for the speaker if the current configuration proves to attenuate the audio too much - it doesn't seem as bad as described previously.
