Was wondering if anyone has had success programming this type of system in? So far I'm loving the unit and haven't had any trouble programming conventional or APCO 25 systems, but today when attempting to program in the LUKE AFB system, I find myself clueless as to where I would enter in:

Base 406.000
Spacing 25
Offset 380

Appreciate any help you could provide.

1. In the TSYS menu, T Tables = Custom
2. Press SEL while on the "T Tables" item
3. Press SEL on "Table 01"
4. Lo Chan = 380, Hi Chan = 759, Offset = 380, Base = 406.000000, Step = 25.000

Wow, success! Thank you very much sir! I'm at a loss as to how you arrived at 759, but it works. I imagine systems like this will be a lot easier to program once your software becomes available. Looking forward to it. Thanks again,

Dave

Dave,

Another thing that will help is to submit the lo and hi channels to the DB for update. I had a similar problem with the Langley AFB and naval base systems near hear. None of my other scanners required these settings.

There was some discussion on this in this thread

http://www.radioreference.com/forums/showthread.php?t=84488

Multi-table systems are a bit more complicated, but if you know the offset, it is the lo channel and the hi channel is the lo channel of the next entry offset minus one.

Software helps the entry, but if we don't know the values, it won't help the reception (or lack thereof). :D

No doubt it would help. In my case submission wasn't needed, as LUKE AFB has been listed in the DB for quite some time now. I'm still curious as to how the number 759 was arrived at in the directions for programming this system.

That's the default max number for Motorola systems. Just like the default min number is 380. So basically all systems that only use one Table will use those numbers by default on the Table.

Thank you for the clarification Kikito.
