PSR-500 Signal Strength meter settings

As we have seen, the default signal strength settings are quite generous, showing four or five bars even on very weak signals.

Has anyone done any experimentation with the signal strength meter settings on the PSR-500? I searched and found one post where someone mentioned trying (low to high) 470, 540, 610, 680, and 750. Has anyone else tried any other settings they believe are better/more accurate than these?

I changed mine to the range mentioned (470-750) and, for me, it seems to provide a more accurate indicator of signal strenth than the default range.
