Looking for a comparison here. I have the Pro-96, and have read all I can find on the PSR 500. I want another mobile type. Will the PSR make it thru when rebanding happens? Anyone have experience with the PSR and the Icalls? I don't need all the memory of the PSR. ANy input appreciated, Thanks.

Here is the wiki link to the scanners: Rebanding supported? YES to both of these

PSR 500 (hand-held): http://wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/PSR-500

PSR 600 (Mobile/base): http://wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/PSR-600

These pages will give you great info on these radios.

Pro-96 vs PSR-500.... The easiest way to think of it is think about the Pro-96 you do have. It is everything great about that and so much more with the loads of extra features. To me the biggest advantage is the computer control and the memory structure of the 500.
