When my scanners track my local site on the indiana safe-t network of sites they often go to the wrong frequency ie:864.3375 when the voice is actually going to 853.3500. Other frequencies on the site will work fine and i can hear the audio. I found this out because my PSR800
goes to the right channel.

Im programming the scanners with ARC500 software and using the RR database.

What am i missng?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The GRE 500 has Two Trunking Tables settings. When using WIN500 for a Moto Type II system.

The first you select 800 Mhz Rebanded Band Plan.
The second setting you select Custom.

I would think that ARC500 would have a similar setup.

Since you are a premium member, and have software, there is no reason to worry about any re-banding settings. What system are you trying to monitor? If it is P-25, make sure your settings are for P-25 Auto.

Part of Hoosier Safe-T is P25, and part is Motorola. Depending on where you are and what you want to hear. With either system, all you need to program, are the control channel and alternate, for the tower nearest, to you

P25 systems are capable of sending the band plan (most do), so no adjustments are needed for scanners.

Moto Type II systems are not capable of sending the band plan. The band plan must be manually entered on the receiving device (scanner).

Gilligan71 mentioned that his scanners voice channels are showing up in the 864 freq range, instead of the rebanded 850 range. So it sounds like he's setup his scanner for the Moto type II system.

He needs to verify which system (type) he's trying to monitor. If it's the P25 system all he needs is to set the system type to P25 Auto. If the system is a Moto Type II, then he needs to set the Band Plan for 800 Mhz Rebanded and set the Table type as Custom.

Thanks everyone for your input, it helped a lot.
I think i got it, unfortunately my batteries went dead during reprogramming.
Im trying to program a Moto II system and i think i just didnt have the right combo of settings.
I was just assuming the programming software would take of it, guess it didnt.
I'll repost if it works out.
Thanks again everybody!

I monitor the same system. My area is Motorola Smartzone II. It has not changed to P25 yet, but is scheduled to in the near future, as is all of Indiana. I use a 668, 1080, 651, and 652 RS radios. The 651/652 are basically the same scanners as the 500/600 GRE radios. All you need for monitoring Motorola is set the system to "P25 auto" even though is is a Motorola system, and be sure your firmware is current. Then program the control frequency and alternate(s), and save. Rebranding is already taken care of. There is no need for any custom settings. Depending on what part of Indiana you are in, the system may be P25. The changeover started in the southern districts, and is moving north. It is being done in six stages, and is supposed to be complete by Dec. 2016
