We have a bunch of PSR600s at work and they are pretty nice scanners. I have software and a cable to reprogam the one I use. Which is not a problem since the software is pretty straightforward although different than the Uniden scanners I'm used to.

One thing I don't understand is how the lockout works. I've read the instructions and understand that FUNC + L/Out makes a lock out permanent and L/Out is for temporary lock out. What I don't understand is the icons. I know that the L is permanent. I know that the flashing l is temporary lock out. However it confuses me that an unlocked channel displays the a steady l when the scanner stops on a conventional or trunked object.

I'm pretty sure I have it programmed correctly since it seems to work OK, but I want to make sure.

Can someone tell me if I have this set up correctly?

Thanks.

Oh, if it matters I'm using ARC500.

It sounds like it's fine. A steady lowercase l means that it's not locked out (likewise, a lowercase p means that it's not a priority object, and a lowercase d means that it doesn't have a delay).

Thanks. I'm not quite sure why they do it that way, but as long as I understand it and it's normal it's all I need to know.
