Do we know for sure that all the PSRN talkgroups will be encrypted?
Hopefully they don't pull a RENIR move on usNot all per say... MTO roads for example isn't, but OPP and EMS 100% will be.
What did they do with RENIR?Hopefully they don't pull a RENIR move on us
Did they get the real stuff that actually costs money or the free toy version?Full encryption even for Public Works.
AES 256Did they get the real stuff that actually costs money or the free toy version?

Only 1 x 800MHz site in RENIR that I see. (Site 19) RENIR - Reseau National Integre de Radiocommunication Trunking System, Provincewide, QuebecIn comparing RENIR to PSRN, both aren't similar in that there will be a lot of encryption. I would say there is less encryption on RENIR due to the fact interop TG's appear to be in clear. There is also more 700MHz on RENIR compared to PSRN so far. Overall, I think its really hard to compare the two at this point in time, but time will tell.
Im getting lots of encrypted activity on 141.69 in Ottawa, TG's are 586 and 544, ID is 8354 and 31375. I think this MAY be PSRN....
