Purchasing software requirements

Hi Guys,

I am purchasing a next to new 2200h from a guy who used it as a receiver. Not sure if he has the receipt, have to ask, but obviously the RX will have the serial number, would that be sufficient enough to purchase the software from a dealer?

Hi Guys,

I just told a friend I am getting into to Ham radios, he ask what would I be called, I told him a Hammer LOL

Was the 2200h replaced, if do do you guys know with what. I looked up Icom's website but cant seem to find any related info.

2200H is an amateur radio. You don't need anything to purchase software for the radio, just go to your local ham radio shop, or order it on the net. No big deal at all. Same goes for the programming cable.

Ok, sounds great. I am hoping to make the programming cables, I am an electronic tech and like building stuff. On another thread I was inquiring about the schematics for the cables.
