Can someone explain QRP/SDR to me as a potential user please?
I know what the acronyms mean and have seen some of the equipme nt. I am pretty well versed in cb and some HAM, but I am a bit confused. Is it basically like a full tilt Icom or Yeasu only low power and less features?

Can I get on the air with just one of the $100 transceivers on Amazon and an antenna or do I need other equipment? Do I HAVE to interface with a computer?
Thanks in advance!

No, you don't need a computer generally. You can certainly get on the air with a QRP radio, but you are likely to be disappointed. 5 Watts isn't necessarily the best option.

Do you have a link to the radio? I don't know of any HF transceivers that are $100 new.
