Question about ambulances in Cali

On all the old and some newer TV shows regarding Cali EMS stuff, you saw a lot of Goodhew ambulances,.. does this agency exist, and if so is it statewide or a local LA agency? I know AMR, Metro/Rural are the largest nationwide EMS services, but wondered if that one was a biggie there?

Did an google search on them and they showed links for Santa Monica, Riverside, L.A (Compton area), etc... but they didn't show an url link for an website for Goodhew themselves. From what I saw they look like an actual liscensed EMS/transport provider. Hope this helps or somebody else can provide more accurate input.

Goodhew is gone. They were based in So Cal. They were bought by a company called Med-Trans about 10 years ago. Med-trans (owned by Laidlaw) then bought American Medical Response and lost the Med-trans name company wide.

Yep. AMR is king. Especially in LA county, especially as a 911 contract provider.
