Question on Chester Township PD

Hey Guys - I just programmed Delaware County into my SDS100 via Sentinel- I noticed I am not hearing anything on Sector 3 - Chester Township police. I am hearing traffic on all other sectors. Is that normal?

where in delco are you? you might not be able to hear the towers that broadcast that frequency. That is only licensed for tower sites #1,3,4,6 as per the FCC.

Chester Township would be on sector 1, 29 car.

Chester City is on sector 3., and moments ago I heard a transmission on sector 3.

You may not be able to receive Sectors 1 or 3 well, depending on your location. Reception for those will be better in the western and southern parts of the county.

I am in south philly - sectors 4 and 6 are received better

FWIW ... I am in the Upper Darby-Lansdowne area and I can pick up the entire county, although sector 1 is a little scratchy. I'm using a Radio Shack Pro-197 with a RS mobile antenna inside my house.

The Sector 4 and 6 transmitters are in the eastern most part of Delco, within ~5 miles LOS of your location.
