this morning i spotted a white van labeled motor carrier enforcement. in the database there's a talkgroup under csp for motor carrier safety . what are their duties? thanks.

Typically motor carrier unit is a commercial vehicle inspection unit. They check trucks for any defects as well as the necessary equipment and paperwork as required by law.

If it was a white van it's probably the Port of entry which falls under the Department of Revenue. They set up portable scales and do some Level 1 insepctions (brakes, lights etc...)...The Motor Carrier talkgroup is a tac channel for the CSP MCSAP troopers, it's rarely used. I also think Aurora and Denver have dedicated truck inspectors too...so it could have been them.
