Ok guys i have a ham license and have some background with scanners. Due to recent rebanding in Waukesha, WI my old pro-94 doesnt do all that much. My friend is suggesting i get a Uniden Bearcat BC346XT Scanner. If i buy a new one im already positive this is going to be the one. My only question is i know waukesha is going to go digital but im not sure when. Do you guys think for 200 dollars its worth while to buy it (he will program it free for me) and use it until digital day or do you think its money that could go towards a digital in the future?

If you want to find out about whether digital is coming in your area, you should ask in the Wisconsin forum, if no one mentions that here. In this case, local information is always best. Then you will have made an informed decision

best regards..Mike

Go get a digital scanner now if you can, then you won't have to buy another scanner in a few years. :)
