I have put quick keys in the favorite lists as 1 but when I type 1 as a quick key it makes that error noise and when I tried set scan selection and manage quick key status it says I haven’t assigned any? I’m not sure what to do, I’ve looked through pages and read the manual, any help would be greatly appreciated

Favorites List Quick Keys, System Quick Keys, or Department Quick Keys?
Did you also assign Number Tags?
Did you program the Quick Keys using software, or directly into the radio?

Expanding a little more. . .

Number tags can be confused with Quick Keys (on Favorites Lists and Systems) but are different creatures doing different things.

As noted above, Quick Keys can be Favorites List Quick Keys, System Quick Keys or Department Quick Keys.

The "System/Schema" for Quick Key operation is:

FF.SS.DD eYes

FF is the Favorites List Quick Key
SS is the System Quick Key
DD is the Department Quick Key

The periods are separators so the scanner knows which is desired.

eYes is the button to press to finalize the Quick Key operation.

Okay. Not sure if I can help you any further; I don't program much directly into the radio, I use Sentinel for 99% of my programming.
Maybe one of the guys who programs into the radio can jump on here & figure it out.

Open Sentinel and plug the radio into the computer. Turn the radio on, and when it powers up, choose to not charge, and then choose "Mass Storage Mode".
Then in Sentinel, click on "Read from Scanner" among the icons at the top. This will upload exactly what is programmed in the radio into Sentinel, and hopefully you can see what you may have done wrong. You can make any changes in the "Edit Profile" and "Favorites List Editor", then click on "Write to Scanner", and choose "Erase Favorites Lists on Scanner". This will replace whatever you have in the scanner with what you did in Sentinel. Once that is done, use the "Unmount" or "Eject" feature on your computer (Task bar - bottom right), power the scanner off, then unplug it. The scanner will power itself up. Then try to use the Quick Keys. Hopefully that will work.

One note:
In Sentinel, without editing anything, in the left column, click on a favorites list.
On the right, you will see a table, with all of your favorites and on there is what quick key is assigned to what favorite list.
Go to any favorite and click on the "+" in front of it
This will show your various systems programmed into that favorites list
Click on a system and a table on the right will show what quick keys are assigned to what department

Now..... if you want to change any of this, you then need to edit the favorite list.

One last thing: it is even possible to assign sites favorite lists, but depts and sites share the same level of hierarchy , so you need to be aware that ..X can control both a dept - or a site, so you can't 'share' the same key
