Hi all!

I am currently upgrading from my mts2000 and looking for an xts3000. I have approval from sfpd and the radio shop to purchase one and get it programmed.

I'm looking for an xts3000 model 1 or 2.
Do I need to find an 800mhz version? or can the radio shop reprogram any xts?

What other specs am I looking for? Thanks!

The Radio Shop who gave you [make sure it's Written] permission should be able to provide you with the minimum specifications for a radio going onto their system

IIf shod uses an 800MHz system, then you will need an 800MHz portable. You can not 'reprogram' a UHF radio to operate at 800MHz. At minimum the xts3000 must be the same band as your current MTS2000. There are other issues as well. If you are using a trunk system then there are flashpoint features that are also required. These features are dependent on the exact type of trunk system you are using.
