i was listning to my local rcmp in victoria county picking somone up this mourning at around 5.30 am and the officer said ill be switching over to the neils harbour repeater and then i lost the conversation does anyone know what this is i was monitoring both the 860.0625 tower and the 861.262 tower which niels harbour is in between both of these and nothing any ideas

Before the RCMP moved to the provincial trunked system (TMR), they operated off of a network of VHF repeaters. Some of those repeaters may still be active, although they would rarely be used.

I don't see a repeater for Neils Harbour in my list...the closest ones I can find are Cape Smokey on 155.64 and Cape North on 155.70 - try programming them both and see if you hear anything.
