R7 LED blinking issue?

Hi guys,

I have purchased a new R7, however, since the first time I turned it on, the LED does not blink under any circumstances, whether when the radio is turned on, when it transmits, receives, scan mode or is charging the battery.

The LED simply does nothing, it does not blink, it is off all the time. I looked in the general options modifying options like "Disable all LEDs" or "LED indicator" but nothing happens.

Any idea what it could be?

The current firmware is R02.23.01.3001 and the codeplug version is 23.21.08.

I did the LED test on mode test, but nothing happen

So if the LED does not light in field test mode, than it is bad. Depot time.

Do you mean that the LED is physically defective and that it is not something in the firmware?

Anyone would not think that a product in this category could come with a defective LED. Would it be possible to replace it with a Motorola service workshop? I think so...thanks for your response.

everything and anything can be defective or poorly made....

Just a few years ago I had a brand new, straight from Motorola SLR5700 repeater with LEDs that weren't soldered to the board and somehow made it past QC that way. It was of course repaired under warranty but it certainly can happen.
