N7YUO Made the judgement call for you.

Here is Davis County Simulcast. Davis County-Other Cities. PD and FD (mostly)
However you will see there are a few other things such as Animal Control and Public Works etc. You can go in and tweak what you want to.
Just use the "Avoid" option on each Channel Name you don't want to hear when editing the Favorites List.

Now as far as the Sites go, I only used Davis County Simulcast, Davis County Landfill, Weber County Simulcast. Everything else is set to "Avoid"

You can go back and turn on any site you desire by simply "Clear Avoid"

Notice the file extension is ".txt"
Change that to ".hpe"

Open in Sentinel and Click:
*File
*Import from hpe file
*New Favorites List
*** Name it whatever you'd like
*** Now find that folder you just downloaded. Remember to change it to ".hpe" extension. Click Ok and viola!

Sorry for the delay i have to many doctor visits' i have a bcd536hp and i live in Roy
i having trouble programing the correct sites. It all ways scans site i due not want to listen to .
If you used Sentinel to create a Favorites list, and then appended your state's system to the list, it will include all the sites on the system, even if you only sect a specific agency or county. You can either avoid or delete all the unwanted sites, or, using location control, set a range for your location, which would result in disabling all of the sites outside your area.

*Target Model (make sure this is set for your scanner) BCDx36HP

On the 536 and other Sentinel scanners, hit the silver knob (Func), and then the DEPT key and it will lock on the site it is currently on. That is the fastest way to stop scanning other sites.
If you want to scan some, but not others, use Sentinel and Edit Favorites list, click on the system name and then click on the Sites tab. You can set all the unwanted sites to Avoid.
If you want the option to turn them on or off easily, don't set them to avoid, give the sites a Quick Key number, so you can use the key sequence to turn them on or off. (I usually use numbers above 20 so I can tell them apart from my Department Quick Keys).
And, if you want to make life a little more convenient, click on the "Dept/Site Quick Keys Status" tab and check the ones you want enabled by default when you write to the scanner, and uncheck the ones you want disabled. If you hover over the check box, it will show you what that quick key is assigned to. Blank means no assignment.
