PRO91 is very old and can only trunk track 800 analog motorola systems.

Also can monitor conventional analog.

Most systems now bring P25 now I would think would not much on modern radio system can be monitored.

The only thing you will be able to scan are analog conventional frequencies and the Western Communication Services 800 MHz Motorola Type II Smartnet trunked system in Joplin.

Jasper County uses a simulcast site. For that reason, I would recommend a Uniden SDS100 handheld or SDS200 base/mobile. They are the best scanners for the MOSWIN system. The SDS scanners are the only ones specifically designed to receive simulcast sites. Any other scanner may or may not work depending upon your location in relation to the towers.

The SDS scanners are not all that great for analog conventional frequencies. However, they excel receiving P25 simulcast sites. I am surrounded by counties using simulcast sites and the SDS scanners are the only ones that will work. All others fail miserably and I have tried them all. You can use your PRO-91 for conventional frequencies.

Dave1933, off the top of my head you can listen to Keener/DeMotte and Newton County fire. The rest of Jasper, Newton Lake and Porter are either on Safe-T network or Lake County Simulcast whereas you'd need the SDS100 or 200. I have both. Don't have too much trouble with analog here in Lowell with external antenna. The 200 has much larger display, much better sound and has one heck of a learning curve compared to the old programmables. My opinion is that it's worth the investment if you're willing to put in the time. Baby steps instead of the final product which doesn't exist because we're always changing things...programming, set up, color display etc.... Don't use zip code scanning (my poinion) because you'll probably miss what you want to hear. Learn to program youself so you have control of your radio. Just my 2 cents.
