Um... excuse me, but by any chance does anyone have any Frequency Combs for sale?

Now your talking Old School!!!

I have 22 new combs and almost 100 used.
You want them? Shoot me a PM if so.

I also have at least one old Whamo 10 parts radio complete with chassis still and the circuit boards only from another including the switches and knobs.
I also have the original printed factory service and user manuals as well as the original comb programming book. All the manuls are worn but very legible still.
Both of mine gave out a few years back.
I repaired one but another board failed shortly after and I decided it was no longer worth my time to try and repair. Plus, the previous owner of one did a hack attempt at replacing two of the comb sockets with dip switches. They worked great for a few years but may have been the cause of the failure on that one.

If anyone can use any of this stuff, shoot me a PM.

Now I wish I wouldn't have gotten rid of all the outdated Police Call books from when I was a wee lad.

For some reason, the drawing of how to create a drip loop stands out in my mind.

J-50Break1 Here,
I am lost here when it comes to "Police Traffic", I don't remember the "Call Signals" when dispatched. I remember using the "Police Call" & "Police Call and Beyond" book. I have noticed it's gone now. So, what do I do now if I want to understand whats going on as I travel around? So, Can/Would anyone care to help?

The APCO ten codes list is about as close as you can get to a nationwide standard. These can probably be found on-line. The problem is that MANY local jurisdictions add to or change the standard codes, or even use totally different ones. Unfortunately, the standard is that there is NO standard!

I would sure like to see the CHP main page in that pink 96 police call book. They fully explain all of the chp unit designagions and everyone is asking what they mean on another forum on here, Can you post a scan of that page?

The data in that book is likely outdated by now. 73, n9zas

I know I have a few buried in boxes somewhere. The only thing they're good for is sentimentality but the info is likely lapsed. Otherwise you can find info on this wonderful site and others.

I'm probably wrong, but I think it was 2005 or 2008. 73, n9zas

how about Tom Kneitel and all his frequency books. i still have my certificate / license issued to me from the "top secret monitoring project". he was even arrested by fbi and brought in to explain why he was publishing federal radio frequencies.

Yep, I remember him! I remember reading some of the "encounters" he had with Federal authorities! :D. 73, n9zas
