Radio Shack PRO-75 unlock?

I just picked up a used PRO-76. The seller assured me that it was in good condition and that it works. I received it today and indeed it looks to be in very good condition. No scratches or blemishes. I put the batteries in turned it on and the display lit up. The only problem is that it is in L/O and I can't unlock it. I press every button and nothing resolves it. I've looked for the user manual online but can't find it. I'm hoping one of you experienced scanner buffs can help me out.

Are you thinking that L/O locks the keypad? I don't think that's what L/O does.

it has a keypad lock, it might be on.
To turn on the keylock, hold down (key symbol) for about 3 seconds until the scanner beeps three
times and (key symbol) appears on the display. ”lb turn it off, hold down (key symbol) for about 3
seconds until the scanner beeps three times and (key symbol) disappears from the display.

Tried that and it didn't work. In fact, the keypad seems locked. nothing works. But thanks for your suggestion.
