If you're going to put it in the attic why not just set it up there? Theres really no need to mount it to anything.

I use speaker stands like these. Very stable, puts the antenna about 7 feet high, adjustable, portable.

Heh..adjustable to 7 feet, as low as about 4 feet. So nice, you'll not want to keep it in the attic!

Music Stand

I have a music stand that looks like that I wonder if that would work I have not looked at the RS discone yet but the wieght might be a factor on my music stand ...Might just put it in the upstairs extra bedroom...
