Hi everyone,

I'm looking to develop or integrate a system that can listen to live police radio (scanner), transcribe audio in real time, and automatically detect reports related to motor vehicle accidents or crashes. Ideally, it would trigger a notification (email, webhook, or SMS) when such events are mentioned.

Does anyone have experience with a setup like this? Or know of any platforms or APIs that provide live police reports or audio feeds with crash-related data?

Open to ideas, tech stack suggestions, or any direction you can provide.

Interesting proposal that might be challenging. There are many different terms, depending on jurisdiction, on what motor vehicle collisions are termed. 10-50, 10-49, 10-45, 10-46, MVA, TC, PD, PI and so on.

There are apps that can transcribe voice to text, I have looked through a few. I have a Vormor Z6 hardware device that does that.
they can save a log file to your PC.
Yea, it would be up to you to interpret codes used by different agencies.
Real time allerting like text messaging, well, that is a different story.
