My question, how does one pay for an article.

Depends on the listing.

Not use to the new format, the old format there was a Buy It Now tab, press it to confirm purchase. Not sure with this format.

Sellers should notate that info in the listing. PayPal works for most these days.

PayPal has built-in safeguards. I some cases, I'm willing to pay a little extra to use it rather than a money order, credit card, etc. because of those safeguards.

You send the SELLER a MSG if you are the BUYER they will send you the information where and how to pay.
