Hi All,
I'm in desperate need of a Realistic Pro 30 or RadioShack Pro 30 Service manual or Schematic to repair my old radio.
I'm a collector and like to keep the radios working. Mine has a burnt out resister R232 on the GE-82C-3036 board but it's burnt and I cannot determine the value of the resistor and therefore need another radio to view or a schematic/service manual.

Any help appreciated

Is that on the circuit board behind the back or front cover? I removed the back cover from my PRO-30. The front cover is still attached.

I would not replace the resistor until you do some investigation. Most likely, a shorted electrolytic or solid state device connected to the resistor caused excessive current flow. There is a high probability that the replacement will overheat also.

I have ordered all the electrolytic caps to replace. I’m leaving the resistor there until I can identify the values

:) Hello Austo63, a suggestion, when your ready to replace the resistor, try wiping it with an alcohol prep. Sometimes, the carbon burn is just powder and wiping it can may the color bands. Also, I second that you probably have a toasted electrolytic capacitor, replace that before replacing/powering up the burned resistor. Good luck! :)

Hello Austo 63, the value of the resistance R232 is 22 ohms.
If you can help me with a continuity measurement and if there is continuity in the 3 pins of the coil with the white point L201 that is next to R232.
