Radtel newest handheld looks like the have added AM transmit mode for 27 MHz, which is good, but also VHF air band. Yikes

Interesting. Will keep an eye on this to see what else they added.Looks like we get the extra antenna connector back for the receiver chip.

*NEW RADIO* Radtel RT-1000 PRO
Airband TX/RX That’s not the best…. Thank you very much Mr Perrin for sending me the link to this new radio. I’m not sure but I think I know someone testing one of these at the moment in Germany 🇩🇪…simonthewizard.com
Exactly my thoughts! I haven't looked closely at the specs, but if it will xmit in the VHF air band, it will probably do so in the milair band as well....I think it's a horrible idea to allow that radio to transmit in the Civil Air band...
If someone knows the full FCC ID, it could be looked up on the FCC's website. I looked using the "2AZSA" prefix that other Radtel radios use and didn't find it.Surprised FCC allowed this radio in the US if it can transmit in civilian air band.
This one model should be banned because it transmits on airport am frequencies.I thought at 1 time these type radios were banned in the US.
...had no right or reason to be on aircraft frequencies.
That's a little extreme, but Radel should probably disable transmit on the aviation bands. Hopefully they realize what kind of liability they're opening themselves up to before these radios hit the market. I'm usually pretty laid back about letting people decide for themselves, but this seems like one of those things that could create a bunch of fallout for Radel and maybe even other manufacturers down the road. This one model should be banned because it transmits on airport am frequencies.
