About this time every year, Uniden would have a presence at the North American Truck Show here in Louisville. Upman would be in town staffing the Uniden booth. For several of his later years, we were able to meet for dinner. So fascinating to hear him talk about scanning and where he saw it going.

Once it was about time for the SDS rollout. Our local system is horrible when it comes to simulcast distortion and he wanted to see how the new hardware would deal with it. Very impressive.
