After many months of planning and programming, the time has come. On the morning of Tuesday Sept 10th, the Ramapo EMS agencies (Faist, Spring Hill, Medics 23 and 25) will join Haverstraw, Stony Point, and Medic 1 on TG 3051, all dispatched by Rockland EMS on TG 3000.
  • TG 3051 to be redesignated County EMS 1. Dispatch tones will no longer be broadcast on this talkgroup; response/operations only.
  • TG 3041 to be redesignated County EMS 2. Secondary to EMS 1 (probably won't be much activity on this talkgroup).
  • TG 3000 will officially go in service as the County EMS Paging talkgroup. All dispatches for Haverstraw, Ramapo, and Stony Point will take place on this talkgroup. The talkgroup will also rebroadcast the traffic from TG 3051 County EMS 1, with paging taking priority.
  • 155.595 will carry the same traffic as TG 3000. The transmitter is located on Cheesecote Mtn where it has always been. There are no plans to extend VHF coverage beyond that site, as the Ramapo agencies are alerted exclusively over the trunked system with digital tone signaling in their APX subscribers.

Oh wow. Thank you for the update. A lot of big changes!

Do you know what the units will be for Spring Hill's ALS? 43A1 or Medic 35 or something?

I live in Rockland county and well their is one medical dispatch that is still vhf/uhf i forgot what one but the frequency is 155.61250 if i recall correctly.
GTR8000 might know better but i heard on the frequency for the past year of them dispatching medical attention within rockland county.

EDIT: it was 155.600 not 155.61250
Just turned on my FT3DR and they paged for medical in garnerville for idk i am pretty drunk.
But 155.600 not 155.61250.

It’s actually 155.595. The scanner is not selective enough and that’s why you are hearing it in 155.600.

Ahh!!! Sorry and thank you for telling me that <3 UwU
But that does explain the fuzziness sometimes and not clear audio.
I hear it and at times its distorted and fuzzy >_<

As listed in the database, there are two VHF frequencies remaining for EMS: 155.160 for Clarkstown/Orangetown, and 155.595 for North Rockland (Haverstraw/Stony Point) and Ramapo.

The 155.595 transmitter is on Cheesecote Mtn in Pomona, and is dead nuts on frequency. Tones and the dispatch messages are broadcast over the transmitter directly from the consoles, whereas the other transmissions are a console patch from TG 3051. The tones and dispatch are always going to sound slightly clearer than the rebroadcast P25 audio, but certainly never "fuzzy".
