Received RAN2 signal via Close Call yesterday, no audio. I believe I receive other audible transmissions on RAN1......but can't verify that at the moment.
Any thoughts on RAN1 and RAN2

Im going by memory so excuse the bad data if any pls, Pretty sure it was NEX, positive it was Ran2.
My real question is........I receive other transmissions on Ran1 (I believe its Ran1) so Does NEX have encryption?

In NXDN the RAN is like a PL code in analog, a NAC code on P25, or a Color Code on DMR. Typically the RAN will remain consistent on a single frequency. Also, NXDN systems can be encrypted or clear.

Among the licensed NXDN users in Cass County Mo are SOUTH METROPOLITAN FIRE DISTRICT, KAMO Electric Cooperative Inc, The Kansas City Southern Railway Company, UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY, and MAIRINCOM, LLC..

You can do a search of FCC licenses in other counties at the following website;
