Waterton Park and Cardston both come through on frequency 155.5800. I've heard this as recently as on the weekend, if that helps.

Have confirmed it as Red Deer City which I never get. There was also a TE2 call sign which I've never heard before. The Sherwood Park guys here on A7 are also hearing it loud and clear. It even confused one of the radio operators who copied down a Red Deer address she heard.

Sitting in Yoho Nat'l Park, just west of the BC/AB border... Not hearing anything from Alberta at this time... Darn mountains...

16 or 1?

I was out to Field about a month ago and might as well have turned off the radios once I got past the West Louise Lodge. I think I got some construction workers on FRS or a 468 freq on the Field Hill near Takkakkaw, and that was it. Louise RCMP was only in town and I only picked up Banff from about the Sunshine turnoff east.

Do not have any BC stuff or parks stuff programmed I am able to key the 146.88 BNP machine only. I am working on the construction site just west of the BC/AB border. They are calling it the 'Sherbrooke slope re-profile' site.

These guys are using UHF Kenwood portables and mobiles for on site comms, the end dump trucks are running on LAD-2.

Edit:

B6 just heard, looks like Lake Louise.

My bad, that was the crew I was thinking of, I think, not as far west as I imagined (or they moved on).

There is a storage site just inside Alberta for this project, just east of a lodge.

Oh, sure, we get B.C. rock, but they can't let our oil pass thru to Kitimat ;) Make sure you check that rock for eurasian milfoil too if it's been in the water.

I forget what the sign out front of the lodge says right now (IIRC it was closed for renovations when I went by) but it's colloquially known as West Louise Lodge.

Looking at the database we may have identified a detachment class repeater in Cardston. Well sort of. It's shown as 155.910 Tone 131.8. My lists shows that as the input to B17 with an output of 154.680 as the repeater. Is this the one we were looking at for Waterton?

Yes, it's linked to Cardston (Leavitt) and is on Crandell Mntn overlooking the Waterton townsite.
