I think Amazon should issue a prorated refund for Amazon Prime for those of you paid a premium for it.

Doubt that's gonna happen.

Every time I have contacted Amazon regarding prime shipping being delayed past the advertised date, I get that month of the membership cost refunded. Not sure if they'll still do that given the current situation, but I've never had any problem with their customer service in the past.

I will not be renewing my Prime after all of these years with Amazon. Covid or no cover they have failed in keeping up their end of the contract. Not mad or anything, i just won't buy from them anymore.

If I am not mistaken, Prime is a guaranteed two day delivery from the day it 'ships'. if Amazon has it in stock, you will get it on time. If it's third party, it could take a while. You have to also understand that Amazon is overwhelmed with grocery orders. I am sure they are doing the best they can.

If that date is not acceptable to you... Do Not purchase it.... But they do, then they come to a forum and complain about it.

I'm Leary with Amazon, ever since I've heard about the buying a new scanner and the customer returns an old obsolete scanner in the new packaging. Than sends it out as a new scanner. Really! Need some quality control Mr Bezos.

Amazon is a marketplace, which means Amazon handles the financial transaction but the unit wasn’t shipped by Amazon directly. The key is to use a reputable seller. I bought an SDS100 from webtron-x on Amazon, based on what others reported, and had no issue.

If I were to see that from any seller, I would report it.

Bearcat Warehouse is actually located in Elkridge, Maryland. That's the reason they only charge sales tax for orders going to a Maryland delivery address.

in canadia, we are not as spoilt for choice as you guys South of us, a lot of us. suppliers won't ship to canada, and here we have a choice of radioworld in toronto, GPS central in calgary, or amazon. GPS central is owned by radioworld, and there prices are a couple of hundred bucks more for the radio, and 90 bucks for shipping. Sorry if the op or I offended you by making a comment in the tavern, the part of the forum designed to have a rant while we're stuck at home with nothing to do. Sorry we waisted your time. True, but in the recent past, the expected delivery date was always an exaggeration and wound up being much sooner. But yes, I knew it could be as long as May 11.

Also, not so much a complaint, more of an "OMG I have to wait so long for my scanner" 1st world problems kind of commiseration.

Just needed to buy a new TV, local walmart was out of them (except 50" sets), Amazon said it would be 7-10 days (with Prime) for delivery. Best Buy got it to me in two days, same set same price (within $5) plus free shipping. Amazon is so swapped right now I really don't like dealing with them.
