By Summer I hear.

Put in the CC's -15 Mhz in your scan bank as conventional channels. When they go live things will be moving along with the transition.

I believe most radios have the template in them for the re-banded system which is why we saw sone new encryption recently. Most every radio was re-programmed.

They are still trying to finish the "first touch" of some of the radios - was to be done by end of last year, so it is taking a little longer than anticipated (some of the smaller LE users have been difficult to get to because of shifts etc.) ...... but like all good projects, there is progress! As I understand the next step will be to turn on the new system and then once it is operational they will begin the "second touch" process to switch the radios over.

New ark now encrypted

Hi just going through the database and see that Newark has added several new encrypted talk groups. It looks as if it won't be long when we won't be able to listen in.

We don't know for sure what the use is/will be. With the recent run of newsworthy crimes there it may just be additional channels to support special units and details since their primary TG's have pretty heavy loading. If they intended to just go ENC across the board I would have expected them to do it on the current TG's already. Standing by....
