Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Hello friends,

First post here and first motorola hardware of my life 😉 I got a full repeater ENLN4055 with GM950N2.

After a few setbacks with various cables, I ended up making myself a batlabs interface that works perfectly. I can use the TRICK software and the RSS for reading tranceivers and interface.

I got the working frequencies but I have the impression that the previous owner "cleaned up" the settings (403MHz set). I used a VNA in order to get working frequencies from the diplexer. I entered correct high and low frequencies with a TCS. No ouput. The receiver red led light on,

I isolated receiver (no rear connection from trick) and try with speaker on, I ear noise. But when I transmit from a portable, radio become silent with red led frequency busy on. Seems to works backwards.

I'm now that the repeater is working but I'm not entering the right settings. 😂

I would like to succeed both in learning more about motorola and then to give this relay to an association of rescuers.

What can I do next ?

I'm open to any help. Thanks

Thank you for clarifying 👍 I use a dummy load and I will use private legally assigned frequency for this group of rescuers.
All things are clear... except GM950 setup !

Hello,
I contacted Motorola representative to check if I had the right software version and if so, to buy.

The answer is interesting:
we can't help you because these models are no longer supported. We no longer have any information or release on our servers.
How do I get them? "Take them on the internet." 🧐

fortunately there are sites like radioreference !!!
