I would appreciate any ideas on the interference shown on the attached photo. The RFI is fairly consistent all the way from around 3.8Mhz to 4.8Mhz with a central drop. The pattern seems quite different from switcher power supply RFI which tends to happen mainly on harmonics. I am wondering about a DSL supply connection from Centurylink as it seems strong around that area.

Looking for ideas.
Thanks, Ron

The audio sounds like simple S8 white noise across the entire 1.1 Mhz spread. There is no noticeable pattern or noise characteristic. Unfortunately I am not setup to save wav files at the moment. Any ideas?

Thanks, Ron

I have a similar problem with my ATT DSL. It is strongest right at the outside box. I tracked it down with my portable SW receiver. It makes 80/75 meters RX difficult. Had the tech come out, and he was clueless about any filter solution. Sigh. I am switching to Comcast because of this next week.

If you switch to AM receive mode, does it sound like a "grinding" kind of noise?

So what antenna have you hanging on the end of the receiver - what is it's centre frequency?

It really looks like BPL to me.

I was listening on SSB, but the noise still sounds like white noise on AM (see attached file). I have a mag loop and dipole antenna. The noise is on both, albeit louder on the dipole.
